RE: [RC] [RC] [RC] re: LD, 50, 100 - heidiYou're right to worry, but that's also part of the problem with doing too many LDs and not moving up. They don't HAVE to drink on an LD, and they get a mindset that they can put it off. Until they LEARN that there is more coming, they often won't change their behavior--and IMO it gets harder to change the more you reinforce it with more LDs.
Heidi
I never even thought about bumping up the mileage to reinforce the survival instinct. It's interesting you should say that because I've always felt that she thought she was a camel. Maybe she just didn't NEED that much water during a 25 or 30 miler. Hmmmmmm Something to think about. She's always been a really good drinker AFTER the ride, but not during. Maybe I'm just a worry wart mom. :)=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
