Re: [RC] How can I tell when horse is ready for an LD? - Nancy SturmBesty, I'll let others give you advice (and I'll pay attention). How "little" is she?I'm conditioning a 13.3 Icelandic right now. She's an absolute kick to ride. I feel like a 66 year old kid with my first pony. Her heart rate and recoveries are pretty much consistant with by TWH. I truly do miss that nice Arab metabolism She's doing well, but I'm a little concerned with her ability to sustain the consistant pace she'd need for a completion. I need to switch horses on some of our conditioning rides and see how she does with the group.
