Re: [RC] Questions about stirrup cages/tapaderos - Dot WigginsAny of these would likely work for you. If you ride in brushy/timbered areas I would avoid the open mesh cage types. I've seen these catch limbs and cause a wreck. If most of your riding is in the desert (:>) and well cleared trails, not an issue. Be sure they don't crowd the foot in the stirrup.----- Original Message ----- From: "Betsy Thomas" <betsy@xxxxxxx> To: "ridecamp" <ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, April 19, 2008 8:21 AM Subject: [RC] Questions about stirrup cages/tapaderos I recently switched from riding in an English saddle to a Specialized International. Didn't think until recently that my stirrup leathers are no longer attached with those safety-release stirrup bars, which I had always kept open on the English saddle. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
