Hello Steph, I will always remember Natures
Ballet. He was a big and beautiful horse ridden by Cathryn Vallet from
France who we hear married after the race and stayed in the USA. Sonny
Farris showed up to the GAHR and first offered 'Blue' as Lari Shea calls him to
Darrell Neilsen but he had 2 Arabians so Cathryn got to ride him. Who
knows who got him in shape as Sonny was the furtherest thing from 'experienced'
as Blue was majestic. It had to be natural talent and ability. Its a
pity Sonny left in the middle of the night and left Cathryn high and dry and no
horse. He was in the top 10 or close at the time. Cathryn ended up
leasing a horse from somewhere and riding along.
Lari Shea has a wonderful story about Blue maybe
you could post. I'll never forget him. ts
