The WEC's and continental championships also have team competitions, and probably 80% of the riders are riding for a team medal for their country. They're 'racing' in the sense that they are making their best effort, but only a few are racing with the goal of finishing first.that said, I do agree that AERC works very well as an enjoyable equestrian sport because there is little pressure to win, or put in a maximum effort. I don't dispute this, and believe we are very fortunate to have a sport where we can have different goals and very little pressure on how we ride. we are tremendously lucky to have this organization.
