[RC] Farm Tools... opinions needed - Mike LewisMy wife and I need a small riding mower or tractor for use on the farm. We have maybe 1.5 acres up front that I've been moving by hand. The mower needs to be able to pull a cart and pull a grate to spread manure in our pastures, and handle smaller farm duties. I would appreciate inputs on what make/model would serve us best for a budget of approximately $2500--absolute tops. I'm not sure that the $1000 units that Lowe's sells would do what we need to do quickly. Second to that, I have a 20" Poulan chainsaw that I bought at Lowe's last year. It throws its chain any time I try to cut tree trunks of more than about 8" up, even if I tension the chain before cutting. Can anyone suggest a better make/model of saw that will hold up to real use on a farm instead of the light residential duty that this junk seems to be designed for nowadays? I see Husqvarna makes a "Farm" model for about $375. I know this is off topic... but I also know that most of y'all live a rugged outdoorsy life and have some experience when it comes to buying tools that hold up.
