Re: [RC] ipod - Dyane SmithThat's true, Jonni, but I also have such wonderful memories of the coyotes that had all gathered in the middle of the trail to sing. I told them a bunch of riders were coming and suggested they move until all the horses passed. Although they looked at me like I was crazy, they did gather themselves and move up the hill. When the riders had passed, I looked back and the little band of coyotes were regrouping at their spot in the middle of the trail. As we rode off, I could hear the first wailing notes of a good songfest. Or the buck that led me down the trail away from the doe and fawn, always waiting just around the bend to be sure I was following. Griffith Park is certainly not wild, but it has an amazing "island" type of ecology because it is bounded on all sides by city. Miles and miles of trails, but so many of them, the only sound you would hear was the dull roar of the freeways and all the traffic that the trails ran either next to, or up on the hills over looking them. I wish we would have had Ipods back then! Jonni =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
