[RC] Horse Trailing and ability to lower head - Alison Dunn

My sister is looking at a 2 horse straight load goosneck featherlight (model 9607). Apparently the manger set-up is like the old 2 horse bumper pull trailers - with the manger at neck level. A horse riding in it could not lower its head. My sister said they don't plan on traveling more than 4 to 5 hour trips. Would this length trip cause a problem because of not being able to lower its head?
Thank you!
