Re: [RC] Heaters in horse trailers - Mike LewisI like my Mr. Heater LOTS... but always worry about CO. Cracking a window is necessary... But it truly amazing how quickly that thing will heat up the trailer! I've heard that 2 CO detectors in the trailer is good practice, plus 1 smoke alarm. I've used a Mr Heater heater for a few years now...but I am very careful to leave a window open a bit, and put the heater close to it. It's just enough to take the chill off. I believe the danger comes when the area is completely sealed up, and the heater uses all the oxygen. That being said, the idea of a carbon monoxide detector is a good one...and I plan to run out and buy one as soon as it stops snowing. Like in April?????
