Re: [RC] [RC] pregnant and riding - Mel CochranFunny, this line of discussion prompted me to do a search on riding while pregnant.I spent my lunch hour reading about how it should not be done because of the bounciness and risk of falling. Horseback riding was lumped in with downhill skiing, scuba diving and mountain climbing. All of the pregnancy and medical sites are very adamant about NO NO NO! I think they are over reacting a bit. There are many discussion threads where EXPERIENCED horse women rode through their pregnancies and were fine. They knew their limits. If I were pregnant, I would never dream of taking on a new sport like downhill skiing. I would however continue to ride since I have been riding for years. Why can't doctors give women a little credit?
