Re: [RC] lighten up! (horses touching noses) - Kristi SchaafSorry, Lynn, I don't get your post. I thought this was a great topic and would maybe make a few people think. But because I want to keep my horse safe, you decide that I'm a whiner and don't have fun? That 'lapse of reason' you defend could get someone killed. Anyway, to me, life is ALL about fun and distance riding fits that criteria! But part of having fun with my horse is protecting him so that I can CONTINUE to have fun with him. I've earned his trust and refuse to blow it by allowing some other idiot's horse to charge up to him for whatever reason. I don't care HOW brain dead/tired someone is - if s/he can't pay attention to what's going on with their horse, then that person is the party pooper, not me. Don't try to put the blame on those of us who are being responsible while we're having our fun. : - ) Kristi Lynn wrote: I?ve seen some gawdawful oblivious behavior at rides. But come on everyone, some of you don?t have anything to do other than whine about a lapse of reason that a rider might have. One more time: This is a sport that is SUPPOSED to be fun. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Looking for last minute shopping deals?
