We had a nice Christmas Dinner at Tracy's parents house yesterday.  
They also do horses - and have been breeding arabians for a long  
time. Tracy has been doing horses since she could walk - tho being  
from Texas, it was rodeo and quarter horses for her while growing up.  
There were some fun pictures of her Rodeo Queen days in the family  
room. Nice dinner with her family and family friends. Mark was there  
too. The conversation eventually turned to old western hollywood  
classics, telling stories about the scenes and characters and lines  
they remembered as if it was real life. Heck... this is Texas, maybe  
it is real life :)  We watched the Steve McQueen western 'Legend of  
Tom Horn' back at that evening. Great movie, another Texas legend.

Today some of the Malaysians are coming out to try the horses.  
They'll ride each horse, and make a first decision about which horse  
will best suit each rider. The riders arrived last night (early this  
morning) but their suitcases didn't arrive, (and of course the  
suitcases had all their riding gear) - so they may have to go  
shopping...

It's been busy here all morning, with Tracy and Dave and Tracy's  
parents, friends, trainer, etc getting the horses ready. Bright and  
sunny this morning but cold. Supposed to reach 50 today. The sun  
feels good, but the air is crisp!  The wind blew last night - that  
east Texas wind that carries half of New Mexico with it as it heads  
east.  The night sky was beautiful - light from the full moon  
filtering down through the dust.
