Thank you, Susan! I actually do have the legal right to kill this dog if it attacks me on the road, but don't want to do that! This dog has already bitten one of my horses while we were riding by and drawn blood. The sheriff went out to talk to the owner and asked him to catch the dog to be quarantined and the dog bit its owner! Owner still insisted that there was no way his dog bit my horse. The sheriff "talked" to them and warned them that under the range law in effect where we live that I have the right to kill the dog if it attacks me or harms my horse. They promised to keep the dog chained or penned but still let it run wild.
I'm hoping a good smack from a paintball might get the dog to back off, prove to the owners that I'm serious, and prove to the sheriff that this IS the dog that's the problem.
