Re: [RC] [RC] Long Distance Hauling - RavenWhile not a fairgrounds, the New Jersey Horsepark just outright refused to even let me pull in to stretch my horse's legs when I phoned ahead Is this a race track? In the past, I hace called ahead and have been allowed to stay overnight at horse race tracks. All they asked for was a health certificate and current coggins. In fact my horses were spoiled when we stayed at the track on Indy. We should up late...about 8 pm, not expecting anyone. The barn groomer was there waiting for us!! He had made up the 3 stalls for my horses, bedded them deep with wonderful shavings, had the buckets scrubbed and filled, and even had hay in the stalls for my boys. We told him we would be back about 6 AM the next morning, and he said he would make sure the morning groom would feed my horses. So, we left their grain/hay and boy...they were feed when we arrived. Talk about great service! <;] Course...this was back in 1998...now with all the current virus and flu threats, this may no longer be an option.
