Re: [RC] [RC] Grays - Maryanne GabbaniShe was probably the colour of the flecks. Some greys are born a dark grey colour and lighten. If they are born a chestnut colour then they can go through all sorts of weird and wonderful colours before they go grey/white. In Egypt, the grey to grey are called "azrah" or blue and the red flecked greys " madammah" or bloody. If they just have a rosy tint they are called "mawardah" or rosy. I have at least one of each around. I'm assuming this means they were born chestnut or bay and then grayed. Some were just listed as G. Are any grays actually born gray, or are they all born another color and turn gray? I would like to know what color my flea-bit gray mare was born before she "turned."
