[RC] It's worse than I thought (was: Parelli, etc.) - k s swigartElizabeth Chase said: I had a chance to visit with Linda Parelli about the human psychology angle...and her feedback to me was that they can teach about the horse, what they have discovered that works... what the human does with that information is up to each individual's choice. To me, this comes under the heading of "lame excuse." If you are touting yourself as a teacher of horsemanship (actually, as a teacher of anything), your ability as a teacher is most properly judged by the competence of your students at what you are teaching. If your students don't learn from you, you are a crappy teacher. And THAT is axiomatic. Competent teachers find a way to present information in such a way that their students will benefit from it and use it; they don't make excuses for why none of their students seem to be able to learn from them. kat Orange County, Calif. :) "Le meilleur que je sais les hommes le plus que j'aime mon cheval."--Catherine the Great =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
