Forgiveness has little to do with consequences. While forgiveness is a
given for one in faith, and a hope for those outside of a faith walk, it
has nothing to do with the perp having to take the consequences of the actions.
While I may and do forgive someone who wrongs me, they still should and often do
suffer consequences - as it should be. That is supposed to be how the human
animal learns many times.
