For the record, I was not the only vote against cutting off debate.

A motion to cut off debate is not a congenial motion.  That option is in 
Robert's Rules to allow stopping a filibuster, and to end debate if a 
few people are just repeating themselves saying the same things over and 
over (I disagree that we had reached that point).  As it says to those 
waiting their turn to speak "we're not going to let you," it should be 
used only when necessary, which is why it is not debatable and requires 
a two-thirds vote to approve.

Let's take any further discussion of this off-line, please.
