Fw: [RC] falling off the horse-long - Dot Wiggins

When we had a string of dude horses/lesson classes  years ago, one of the first questions for a new client was: " How much have you ridden?"    If the answer was  "Lots"   the next was  "How many times have you fallen off a horse?"  When they said "Never"  we picked out the safest, slowest mount, at least to start.
Our feeling was, and mine still is,  if you haven't fallen off, you haven't been on much.
On the other hand, as we get older, and hopefully smarter, it happens less often.  {;>)

I always used to say, "I NEVER fall off". I don't say that anymore,  having come off twice in the last couple of years.  My balance isn't what it used to be,  I've found that as I've aged and my body has changed that I have to work harder.
