Fw: [RC] Best Sound Magnifying Stethescope? - Linda MarinsAha! Found it! I had exactly the same question five years ago (mare with virtually undetectable heartbeat) and this is the answer Linda Flemmer sent me and Ridecamp. I've been looking for a Klippert ever since. Still haven't found one :-(. I use one of Roger Rittenhouse's hand-held HRMs when I've really *got* to know. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Linda Flemmer" <bluewolfranch@xxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, June 27, 2002 12:22 PM Subject: Re: [RC] Best Sound Magnifying Stethescope? Linda, While they are EXTREMELY hard to find, Klippert stethoscopes amplify like nobody's business and have a seal around the diaphragm that cuts out background noise (like wind, voices, etc.) Think of a dixie cup with a bubble-shaped plastic diaphragm in it. I don't know what they cost now - 9 years ago I got a low end one for around $50 and a GOOD one for $90.
