That information should be coming straight from the Ride Managers, Organizers, etc. And as the Kansas Star article stipulates...the ACCIDENT is still under investigation. Therefore, until all of the facts are investigated and disclosed please reframe from forming value judgments of any kind. This can only hurt endurance not help it! I don't believe anyone involved with endurance, in one way or another, wants to cast dispursions or contribute to putting the sport in jeopardy! It is apparent, to me, there are already too many nay sayers, in bureucratic decision making positions, that do not want their town/cities/states put into a liability position. So, please, bare this in mind and let's take a deep breath - wait for the final investigation to be completed. Thank you! D'Arcy Ridecamp is not an official media source for AERC, so people need to stop demanding that it become that. It's a discussion group, NOT Reuters, AP, UPI, or Dan Rather.
