[RC] Old Horses and Weighing Decisions - cynthia hambergAs I looked between the ears of my 19 1/2 year old retired Thoroughbred endurance horse yesterday, Don Huston's words rang true...Our older guys not only make us happy, they never make us blue. They will never get a DNF again, nor ride to mountains high. But no money could you offer for my Encanto Boy to buy...He has a home forever--although not yet in the sky...But, someday he will run there with his buddies from up high...When I have to make that choice, a sad day it will be. But, to have loved him is way better than if we had never been... =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
