[RC] Wierd Ga. diease AND now Lost frog--gee-whiz - L ginGeez guys-- not only do 3 of 5 have this wierd new disease/syndrome and I am backpedeling to take care of this mess after( being down with The staph infection and cold) and bathing and trimming (which I was behind on). But now one of the two who osccasionally get thrush ,--- picked up his foot and started to clean and most of the frog came off---I almost cried. He has deep grooves and domed hoof, frog has always been narrow and doesn't weight bear like my other barefoot horses. I forgot, that, it isn't during wet , that these two get thrush , but when it is dry a long time. I had thrushbuster, which usually clears it up, and put it on--wondering if I was doing the right thing or not. he isn't lame, but he didn't like me cleaning it out. It 's like there is a hole in his foot I have epics I could put on and pack with?????????????????? (not that I have tried them on yet) Or , since I am now hosing 3 horses 2x a day for 20 minutes, would that and maybe spraying a lysol mix or betadine or cider vinager be enough? And for how long? I read they don't recomend diluted bleach anymore. It is bone dry here. Only the poop is moist for about an hour. The 100's heat wave is brokern , it is only 90's now--- but will probably stay dry. _________________________________________________________________ Gear up for Halo® 3 with free downloads and an exclusive offer. http://gethalo3gear.com?ocid=SeptemberWLHalo3_MSNHMTxt_1 =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
