[RC] Bitless Bridles - Allan Bucks the original works better - CTH

Allan Buck created the first bitless bridle and has gone on to correct the problem stated below.
The crown piece on his bridle is one solid piece and the cross over straps are round to give an instant release.
There is a conversion kit for the Dr. Cook bridles to fix the problem.
www.CanadianTack.com at the bottom of the American Bridle page to see the conversion kit
I manufacture the beta bridles for Allan and oversee the leather production.
These bridles are not for every horse and I would not personally ride the start of an endurance race in one.
All bridles work on poll pressure to some point. The Bitless bridles just increase it somewhat.
The horse needs to be well traiined before heading ont on a trail ride ect.
My mare reared in the bridle all the time. She went happily back to her snaffle.
I have an older arab with cancer in his mouth. He is now retired completely due to other health issues but the bitless spirit bridle was good for him.
His bridle does work better then the knock offs

I?ve read that some of the bitless bridles have a problem with the straps underneath the jaw not releasing quickly enough to let the horse be quickly rewarded for doing what you ask, therefore causing uncalled for pain, pressure, and confusing them. Also, I believe there is a ?learning curve? for the horse to understand what is being asked with the bitless bridle even when the straps do release quickly. I think that the flat straps get hung up, and that the rounded ones release quickly, maybe, but just going from memory. Anyone have any direct knowledge, mine is just ?what I?ve read?.

Any idea why it caused her to rear?
