RE: [RC] Parelli and Natural Horsemanship - Chastain, Shannon L.I always do everything backwards I took my horse with issues to a few endurance ride then discovered PNH. My second ride the vet at Hillsdale said "I will turn my back while you beat the &*(&* our of him". He would try to run over me at the trot out he was even worse for MOTRDA rides he would rear instead of circling. I did my first AERC ride since discovering PNH last months and man what a difference!!! My first MOTDRA is this weekend and I am confident we will circle instead of "show-off" for the vet! I promise that this is my last public post on the subject. Dave - I SOOOO hear you! My horse, though he wasn't a mustang, had a TON of major issues when I got him, and I was at a loss how to earn his trust and thankfully 'found' NH. Fast forward several years; we recently attended his first AERC ride and got a comment similiar to yours. The vet could not believe that it was his first ride as he was so calm, responsive to me and 'well-mannered'. I was so proud of him, and only someone who knew where we started would be able to completely understand what that type of comment meant. Maybe some of you out there could help a horse with this kind of baggage without any assistance from a 'guru', but in my case, PNH and then a gentle cowboy named Brent Graef gave me the pieces I needed to complete this horse's puzzle. Kristi Life's a journey, so enjoy the ride (and try not to fall off) ________________________________________________________________________ ____________ Yahoo! oneSearch: Finally, mobile search that gives answers, not web links. http://mobile.yahoo.com/mobileweb/onesearch?refer=1ONXIC =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
