What DR Susan said... We used Xterra on our mule's ear. It took about a week for it crud up then you stop and wait. After a few weeks it was gone. Been over 2 years still gone.

I DID use Tea Tree Oil AFTER the crud fell off. I cleaned it up every day and dabbed on the oil - mostly to get the spot to heal.
It was about 2 inches in diameter.

This Xterra stuff is strong DO NOT get on hands. I used gloves to put it on.
She never became ear shy. It did not appear to hurt her.
