Make sure they check the simple things, too.My old boy once went off, very non-specific, but in both front feet. He wasn't striding out like he usually did. My farrier couldn't see anything when I asked him to check, but he didn't pull the shoes. One week later, when he actually did the shoeing, he found that, due to soft ground and wet weather, Shadow had sole bruises on both front feet, right under the shoe, caused by shoe pressure and soft feet.
