Re: [RC] [RC] [RC] Long Time, No Post--ARTHRITIS - Barbara McCrary
I had taken Glucosamine/Chondroiton for many
years....then changed to Glucosamine/MSM. I can't say I
feel a stunning improvement, but I can't say I don't, either.
There is no telling what my arthritis would be like if I stopped taking it at
all. All in all, I am still very active, arthritis or
no.
An interesting sideline.....some years ago, I asked my
MD about Glucosamine/Chondroiton and he responded that he had never heard of
it. I told him that horse people were using it a lot,
successfully, and wondered why it wasn't marketed for human use.
Then....guess what? A short while later it comes on the market
and is everywhere now, in both tablet and liquid form. We horse people are
just ahead of the times. :-))

Okay, Glucosamine has never helped me. That is why I
wondered what this drug was. I have had no luck with any of the over the
counter natural remedies, which is why I am somewhat skeptical that it
helps horses....but so many people claims it really does help. I wonder
why they don't make it for people.
