Re: [RC] helmets - Beth WalkerYep ... I've worn a helmet for over 20 years. Not everyone is lucky enough to get a wake-up call like I did. I was riding my previous horse in a sandy river bottom. He did a buck 'just for fun'. I came off and smacked the back of my head on the sand hard enough to literally see stars. When I sat up -- there was a big rock (small boulder) about a foot away from where my head landed. Enough for me -- my hubby and I went out and got helmets that afternoon. We had to get bicycle helmets as there was no such thing as an equestrian helmet in those days. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
