In June, 18
experts were appointed to review six different areas of the sport:
qualification, organisation, equine protection, education, legal controls and
competition structure...
..."The FEI purposely chose people worldwide,
so most discussion will be done by e-mail and phone," ...
...Each task force must provide the
FEI with monthly updates, a progress report in October and, by early 2008,
full recommendations. Mr Williams and his team will then compile a new
rulebook...
Will the committees be required to archive their email discussions, keep
minutes of their telephone conversations, take recorded rollcall votes on all
positions, allow for minority reports, and provide these documentary materials
to the FEI?
If not, then how will the worldwide endurance community ever know whether
their concerns were even raised, nevermind addressed rationally?
Who from the US is on these committees? Which committees?
