Re: [RC] My nickel, and a caution - Elizabeth ChaseOpinions that are stated as opinions are just that; opinions stated as fact are another thing altogether. Feelings are not fact. I am also of the opinion that far too many people believe most of what they read and hear, and often confuse their own opinions with fact. Some get so committed to their opinions as fact that they bully other people over it and get hostile--- aggressively or defensively. Also an opinion: some in the legal community love to make a buck off 'defamation of character' and can make much of any angle they want to take. Doesn't make it the right thing to do, but it is a business. I'd suggest letting Ms. Tryon's actions speak for themselves and allow her to meet with her own consequences. Then she would not be able to blame others for her loss of reputation as an equestrian. I would not let anyone near my horses that would not get off at the first misstep, competition be damned.
