I tend to agree with Leonard .From a global perspective this can only be healthy for the countries' selling' .I mean top rate horses are exchanging hands at a couple of million euro .Just the idea of that possibility enlivened the breeding ,conditioning and competitive programmes of those countries invovled .This percolates outward to other areas related to equestrian ie farriery ,vets etc etc .The French and Australian endurance scenes I believe have been more energised by this international movement of good horses across borders and they have not been made worse off, on the contrary this is why they are up there infront
