You are right Truman .The rest of the world has caught up and moved on . As 
for money ,your govt do not have to put money in any sport .Look at NBA and 
those World League players ,they are filthy rich ,dollars oozing out from 
every orifices !When Valerie Kanavy Navy raced in Dubai in 1998 ,her team 
consisted of 16 members altogether ,including a horse massuere .That was the 
height of proffesionalism and free enterprise .I reckoned she was sponsored 
right down from her shoes to to her fingernails .She won !!!! What has 
happened since then ?!
