PERHAPS THEY SHOULD HAVE A THUMB SIZED TUBE PASSED DOWN THEIR THROAT AND UP 
THEIR BLADDER SO THEY CAN TRAVEL WITHOUT STOPPING..

THIS SOUNDS LIKE UTTER b***s*** AND INHUMANE.

One only has to stop every few hours and offer water and that gives the 
horse a chance to pee!!!!

Since we are on the subjuect, I just heard something the other day
that I never heard before. A girl I know will soon be shipping her
dressage horse from the west coast to Virginia for the "young
Olympics" dressage competition. She explained that her horse will
have a tube inserted from it's nose to stomach and it will stay there
the whole time they are traveling (at least 2 days straight through).
The guy hauling will stop periodically to give the horse fluids
through this tube. I guess that's one way to make sure your horse
arrives hydrated after a lengthy trailer ride.
