[RC] Branding - Donna Coss

The Shagya Arabian is branded with the Shagya Sun brand. This is a hot brand applied to the near hip. I have
observed several horses branded and it does not seem like it is bothering them very much. A small shock and then
that is it! Have never observed the brand to become sore or the horse touchy around that area. It does help if
the brand is sprayed with oil right after the iron is lifted.

I do not know why, but you cannot relate it to burning a human's skin--not at all the same thing or the suspected reaction!

I do not feel it is cruel!
