Re: [RC] Rushceek horses - rides2farThis conversation about Rushcreek horses is very timely because I bought a > Rushcreek horse yesterday. Julie Suhr Back in the late 80's/ early 90's it was such a big deal when somebody went and got a Rushcreek horse...then the name seemed to just disappear off the map for years. Now, it seems like there's a big upswing! I've known of 5 people of my friends who have bought from them *this year*. Did something cause the big upswing? I hauled Molly Herlong's new Rushcreek horse to the Million Pines ride this spring. He's TALL, very rugged, was thin like he'd just been pulled off the range, but had so much sense. He'd been one of their ranch horses and yes John, he *did* ground tie. Problem was Molly had been letting him out in her yard on a rope to graze and he wouldn't move. :-) She loves that horse so much it scares her dad. He doesn't know what she'll do if something happens to it. Right after she brought him home she took him on a long trail ride back in the hills and rode him home along a road with nothing but a halter. I agree about the bad photography though. I'm pretty good at making a horse look as good or as bad as I want it to look with a camera. Whoever took these photos looks like they're trying to get the price down.>g< Angi =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
