Tumor?  One of my boarders got something like that on his pastern.  Turned out to be a tumor, but it was completely enclosed and they were able to cut it out with no problems.

I have a 19 year old NSH mare who is pasture boarded, she came in one day with a golfball sized hard lump on her left front leg on the outside just below the elbow. It's not tender, draining or inflamed. When I press on it, it moves around-she has had it now for a couple of weeks-any idea what it might be?
