Re: [RC] Feed question - Laney HumphreyTake her off the oats until you're able to ride her frequently! You say her weight has "ballooned" and that's a great indication that she's taking in more calories than she's burning up by being a pasture ornament. You're running greater risk of serious metabolic problems by feeding her too much than the small risks from feeding nothing but hay. As for supplements, I love Platinum Performance which can be feed by itself because horses (& dogs) love it.Laney Mike Lewis wrote: My wife has been feeding her horses oats and sunflower seeds for a few months, and we recently (gradually) moved my endurance horse over to oats (not the sunflower seeds) on a trial basis. How do I know what supplements to feed her now that she is not getting a "complete" sweet feed? =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
