I have to agree. If you can find a
vendor that has different kinds I would highly suggest trying them on to see
what kind has the best fit for your head. I've never tried Tipperrary but mom
has had troxels for years and I tried hers on, it gives me a headache. I have a
really round head and the troxel is too oval for me. I have to use an
International because it is more round than oval. So just try it on before
you buy it. Good luck!

A slight warning for folks who might dash out and
order the Tipperary online....I may be in
the minority of folks who hated the helmet.....I
tried every size on at convention one year
and it just did not fit the shape of my head,
very uncomfortable.....In the past I have had good luck with Troxel
(which original poster found hot)..and my
current favorite, the Aegis USSEPA or something like that....helmet....it has
a fit-dial in back; and I find it very comfortable and light...also can
be found online on sale for $39 on a regular
basis....
Gotta send out another thumbs up for the Tipperary Sportage...coolest
most light weight helmet I've ever owned. I actually forget it's on my
head and once even got in the truck to drive home after a day ride with it
still on! Luckily for me I have a snickering teenager who took delight
in reminding me it was still on my head!
Funny though as said snickering teenager tried on my helmet and now she
has a sportage too...can't wait til she gets in the truck with it
on...payback ya know!
