trot out for (human)gymps- I am training my filly and
the plan I am working on is to teach her to stand and
wait on the end of a long retractable line then when I
call and start my pathetic jog away she trots after
me- in theory she trots for about 50' straight while I
do my best bad hips fast shuffle with a head start for
20 feet or so.  So far she has it down for a 20' lead
rope- this is working now as she is just a yearling
whether this can actually work in competition is
unknown.  Hopefully this will be a mute point as I
have finally gotten so sick of this limitation I am
seeing a surgeon in July for hip resurfacing.
