Re: [RC] Julie at 30,000 miles - Barbara McCraryShe made a huge impression on me some 30 years ago when the Castle Rock ride lost its finish line and host upon the death of Leo Frank. Julie wrote me a note saying in effect that when Leo died she had grave concerns about the future of Castle Rock, but when she realized that Lud and I and our family were going to continue managing it, her fears were laid to rest. Those were the kindest words, and I made a mental note that if something like that made ME feel so good, I would try to spread good feelings to others by writing notes to them on appropriate occasions. I don't quite live up to Julie's degree of graciousness, but I try.Barbara ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bruce Weary" <bweary@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, May 13, 2007 2:50 PM Subject: [RC] Julie at 30,000 miles There is a notable landmark in the world of endurance riding, with Julie Suhr reaching the milestone of 30,000 miles this weekend. Frankly, it couldn't have happened to a nicer girl. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
