All I'm pointing out is that some of those who feel the strongest that the change to 30 min. post-ride is a good thing...John Parke (who proposed it) Laura, Bruce...are all very fond of multi-day rides where one vet check mid ride seems to be the accepted standard, and judging by how many times Bruce has been asked to do a CRI, apparently that's not a very popular proceedure there. Meanwhile some of the more vocal (or fastest typing) posters who don't feel the change is needed (me, Truman, Joe, Jerry) have ridden most of our miles in the SE at rides with 4 (or at least 3) vet checks in a 50, and CRI's at most checks, and we're supposedly wanting things to be "lax". I won't call their way lax if they'll respect that our criteria is pretty darned tight. If it's *that* important that we have our 4th 30 min. recovery of the day, surely their horses need have to have at least 3. >eg< ;-) Angie =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
