RE: [RC] Changes to completion rules considered - Jim Holland

Angie, there are no AERC rules regarding the number of vet checks required
and the use of a CRI.

Are you implying that a rule specifying a minimum number of vet checks would
be more effective in protecting our horses than reducing the completion
recovery time to 30 minutes?

I've been thinking this over and I'd like ya'll's opinion. Which is more
aimed at protecting the horse? :

50 miles, 4 vet checks, at least 2 with a CRI, 3 where you must vet
through within 30 min. and final where you vet through within the hour
with a CRI.

50 miles with 2 vet checks. One at the half way mark, and one at the end
where the horse must meet the 64 criteria and vet through within 30 min.
