[RC] Rule Change - sherman

While it may be correct that a 30 min rule could help the US
international riders to be more competitive, there is no reason why the
international riders can't prepare this way without a rule change. Also,
the AERC is not the US international endurance organization and most
riders in AERC do not have international aspirations.

Just a further 2 cents as a foreign reader of this thread.

After the WEG there were quite a few complaints about the US riders not
being
Competitive enough etc.

Don't you think changing the rule from 60min to 30min may possibly help
in the
conditioning of horse and rider to be able to still ride the final leg
fast and
then vet in within 30min? From what I see from results, the last leg of
international
competitions is many times the fastest leg of the rides. Those horses
have to pulse down in
30min.
