Therefore in this case the horses would have 40 minutes after sprinting to the "finish" to pass the check rather than 30? Ride management figures that it takes on average 10 minutes to get from the finish line?to camp at a walk.? So you cross the line in first place at 4:45, and the timer puts down 4:55 as your time.? The rider behind you crosses the line at 4:47, so the timer puts down 4:57 on her card.?
