Very thoughtful response, Eric.  As a ride manager, determining who is a 
paid-up member and who isn't seems quite enough policing for a ride manager. 
Even then, I'm inclined to miss a couple of non-members every year; they put 
down a rider ID, but haven't paid their dues for that year.  I was often 
going to rider/horse lookup on the AERC website.  Somehow I missed two last 
year, but I called them and had them settle with AERC.  As a ride manager, I 
WILL NOT pay a rider's non-member fee.  That's their responsibility, not 
mine.
I would rather not have to police who is on suspension, thank you.
