Re: [RC] 2008 WEC quals - rides2farI believe that the FEI TDs are acting with good intentions in proposing these qualifications. What the heck has doing a 10:40 race over over a flat fast course on a cool day got to do with preparing someone to do a slow, hot, humid ride safely? Apples and oranges. Odds are much better that the qualifications were intended to keep those most prepared for the conditions from beating those coming from outside the country. It's got a lot more to do with who wins than keeping anyone safe. I've got a question.. Are horses allowed to get their COC with trucks driving along side tossing them bottles of icewater? If so, why? When I rode FEI there was NO crewing on trail. Will bottles of icewater be available along the course in Malaysia?
