FW: [RC] Membership forum??And Mike Maul's point. - Jim Holland
Why, Bruce as a member of the HWC, are you
counseling me? I am honored!
But since there are no rules in AERC
regarding lameness, metabolic stress, or any other type of horse abuse , I can
just tell you to go pee up a rope. If he dies, so what? I’ll
just go get another horse.

Dear
Chrystal--
Jim Holland mentioned: "Chrystal, no
offense, but when you have been around AERC a little longer, you will learn how
“change occurs”. Give it a few more years, a lot more time on
this forum, and a lot more miles and you will understand. Seems you’re doing a lot of Top Tens for a
newbie….be careful out there."
Jim feels that a lot can be known about a rider's knowledge and ability
from a cursory review of their ride record, and I would have to agree. Not
until you have to your credit ride seasons of 35%, 50% and 63% completion
rates, or three consecutive pulls for lameness in less that 90 days can you
really expect to understand how meaningful change occurs. Or the depth of some
folk's commitment to horse welfare. No offense, of course. Dr
