Just my pet peeves. I have seen excatly what you are worried about. I much prefer to metal bars and using a fly mask on my ponies. The one thing to consider with zippered mesh screens is that you would be able to access your horses from outside during pit stops, etc. <;] manger windowsAnd with summer coming, it's just too hot to close the doors to the I just got my new 2 horse BP trailer...this time I had the horse area completely insulated (about $900.00 extra).
