That isn't the point - the point is that we have a part of this type of
group who participate in a type of riding that is not in the spirit or the
desire of the rank and file of AERC, a long-standing organization. Whether we
like it or not, whatever happens at FEI level reflects on us, and while there
are many fine riders who do one or both or even JUST FEI, the ones who do NOT
reflect well on horse sports in general first of all have NO right to avail
themselves of AERC's reputation or funds; and secondly, can ultimately sic the
dogs of war on all of us - and cost us the freedom to ride our horses
competitively - safe and sane or not. S
I for
one, have no desire to prioritize funds or time to ride
internationally.
